In Tokyo, you can find a restaurant with good atmosphere for having party among girl friend or holding a social event between women and men called Gokong. This style of restaurant allows customer to enjoy socialising entertainment while having a meal, which it has been gaining popularity over time. Hence, we would like to suggest some restaurants in Shinjuku that has its name for deliciousness and provide such “Amusement Dining!” feeling. You will be surprised at first glance as you step into the restaurant. (We have also suggested this style of restaurant in the previous article.)
At the restaurant, aside from their popular "Awao Chicken Nabe (Cooking Pot)", regional foods from Tokushima and regional alcohol beverage are also served. Nevertheless, the highlight of the restaurant is Maawa traditional dance performance (Awaodori). Owa Dace (Owaodori) is considered as one of the three greatest dancing in Japan. The origin of this dancing comes from Tokushima, which holds over 400 years of history. Owa Dance has its unique feature that is while dancing, they will also do singing chant with the phrases, "Yattosa" and "Someki", along the relaxing melody of the accompanying music.
The performer, called Ren, will be changed daily with each Ren holding different task within the performance.
Their main purpose is to make the show as entertaining as it could get everyday!
While the Owaodori is being performed, it is recommended for the customer to use the main hall seat since it will allow the customer to watch the performance from the front view, which the ceiling over the seat is decorated by Japanese latern, giving out the feeling of actually being in a Japanese festival!
In this restaurant, the traditional performance will begin at 19:30 and 21:30 in which it is held twice a day. There is also a musical instrument performance such as Samiseng and drum show in which its powerful echo may reverberate through your body. As the show is about to end, the performers will step down from the dance floor and call out for the customers to join them in dancing Owaodori. With only simple moves of waving and stepping required in this dance, even the customers who have zero experience in dancing Owaodori would still be able to follow the tune. The red carpet lined along the Kotatsu seat is placed especially for Owaodori performance.
After the performance ended, the customers can also take a picture with the performers as a memorial.
Awa Chicken Nabe (Cooking Pot) from Tokushima city [Awaodori Chicken (Owaodori)] is used as the main ingredient. Home-made Awao Chicken meatball and roasted chicken with Sudachi Orange 1880 yen (excluding tax)
As shown in the picture above, this is the famous Shoshu from Tokushima called "Donburi Shoshu". 1980 yen (excluding tax). ※This menu suits for group of 3-4 people.

This restaurant is highly recommended for people who prefer having a meal in a personal space. The concept of this restaurant is to enjoy singing Karaoke, while eating and drinking at the same time.
The room is separated into three parts, which each part contains different environment. As you walk along the hall way, you will find a Karaoke player come in various sizes with recent technology that provide high quality of sound and video system, installed in each room. The festinating thing is that all the 20 rooms are decorated to arouse the entertaining enjoyment with lavish illumination. There are also cosplay costumes provided, creating the atmosphere of excitement and amusement!
Within the room, there are varied costumes provided to choose (S-14 Roof). Let's do a cosplay party!
This room is decorated in metal style, creating the atmosphere of future world (S-8 Trance). The room is suitable for holding a Gokong, social meeting between women and men.
This room is decorated with colorful Jaguchi (s-16 Spa). You can relax your feets in the Jaguchi while singing Karaoke and eating at the same time.
Interesting food from this restaurant is the modern Italian foods with original recipe. The high quality ingredients are thoroughly selected, which the foods are filled with mellow flavors.
The menu with the top two highest ranks are Black Salty Truffle Onigiri (2 pieces) 500 yen (excluding tax) and Roast Beef (Japanese beef) 1,500 yen (excluding tax)
"Course Plan" uses seasonal Italian vegetable ingredients.
There are three kinds of services that you can choose from the restaurant, which differed in accordance to the situation. The first one is "Course Plan". This course includes room fee, food course price, and Karaoke set in 2 hours (3,700 yen (excluding tax)/person). The second one is "Alacarte Plan". You can choose any foods from the menu unlimited in 1 hour (1,000 yen (excluding tax)/person). The last one is "Saloon Plan". You can choose your designated room and foods. (Room price 1,000 yen/30 minutes (excluding tax)) For "Course Plan" and "Alacarte Plan", customers are not allowed to choose the room. If you wish to select a specific room, you will have to choose "Saloon Plan". This dining-and-karaoke-in-one restaurant is another Japanese concept restaurant developed for special entertainment.
