Taxi is a vehicle which is used all over the world. Most people would probably believe the quality of the taxi in their own country is the world's criteria, but is that really true? Let's check a Japanese taxi!

【Car type of the taxi and its design】
The colors and types of taxi depends on the taxi company, so you can find various kind of taxis in Japan. The only common point is the symbol on the roof. So when you look for the taxi in the city of Japan, please check that point. And be careful! If you are with more than 3 friends and the taxi is small type, the driver may not be happy with that. So I recommend you ask the driver first.

【Automatic door!】Mainly you will see the taxi stands in front of the station. When there is a line to ride on a taxi, let's stand in a line to use taxi. Door will be opened automatically for customer, so be careful to avoid hitting. Once you get into a taxi, tell the destination to the driver. If you can't communicate, it is fine to point to the map.

【The atmosphere inside the car】 A driver always keeps clean and tidy the inside of the car. Furthermore, in some taxis you will find the seats are covered with white laces, and in others, you will find decorated flowers inside the car. The customer must feel comfortable thanks to these decorations. There is a plastic glass placed between the seats and the driver's seat to protect a driver from a thug or bad person. However, customer should feel free, relax and also can try to chat up with a driver as long as you can to get a new experience.
